This is an e-mail that was sent to me by General Jeff. Aparently a woman was dragged underneath a car for quite a ways in skid row.

O.G.,
For your information, I was out in the community last night and at apprx. 1-1:30 a.m. an older limousine was traveling westbound on 5th street where I was updating our constituents on our latest efforts in front of the L.A. Mission. To me, it appeared as though the car was dragging a good size piece of cardboard or some type of debris that was preventing it from traveling faster down the road. I tried to get the attention of the driver and alert him/her that something was under the front of the car. They continued west down 5th and as they passed Central Division they were pulled over by LAPD officers.
The limo didn't stop until it was closer to Los Angeles street. I could see the squad cars filing out of Central and soon blocked off the entire street. I thought nothing more of it and continued my discussion.
Later, SWAT trucks, unmarked detective cars and more squad cars started blocking off more streets, even to the east of where we were. Suddenly, the helicopter appeared and was shining it's lights all over the place.
Officers came walking down 5th street and asked us not to cross the street. It was then explained that it was a human body that was being dragged under that car.
WOW!! I went into a temporary state of shock and amazement knowing that I saw the body being dragged and didn't know that it was a body. As usual in Skid Row, we started wondering if it was someone that we know. By this time there was yellow tape everywhere. I mean no disrespect to the deceased, but there was so much yellow tape, it looked like Christmas decorations all over Skid Row.
Another officer explained that there was a blood trail in the lane that the limo was driving in and that the entire street had become an active crime scene. He then went on to say that at that point, word was that the dragging started near 7th and Towne.
WOW! 7th and Towne? We were looking at the car on 5th and Los Angeles. That's a lot of streets that had to be "yellow taped".
Later, I overheard a couple of officers saying to each other as they were backtracking the scene, "An arm is missing".
I hope it wasn't one of our loved ones. But even still, another death in Skid Row. I'm sure that the details will come out later once word spreads around.
I'll fill you in once I hear something.
Peace and Positivity,
General Jeff
