Fred Jordan Mission gets A+

Fred Jordan mission gets an a+ for their school clothing and school supply giveaway today. It was one of the most dignified events I have seen in a long time. It was great to see the kids get those shoes and those clothes at the Fred Jordan Mission. It was impressive. One thing that impressed me was the talk about the many children across the southern california region that were hepled and are being helped through the programs set up in those areas.

For some odd reason when I heard news that my childhood friend was killed in a car accident I thought of another friend we used to get together with and sing this song and others. HE went on to beome a master karate instructor. Who would have thought. He was a close friend that helped me work out lot's of questions I had in puberty. Girls and all that. Kept us out of trouble to be two guys who were waiting for the right girl to marry. HE leaves two young children and a beautiful wife. Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel. Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
