The Thing

Watching television and movies on the internet has gotten better over the past two years. Hulu.com is one of the places that shows some horrible flicks ,but today was not a disappointment.
At Hulu.com , after clicking on the drop down menu, then clicking on the sci-fi link, it was awesome to see that John Carpenter's THING was a choice. WOW! This was the 1982 version . The special effects were way ahead of it's time. Great movie. Not for the squeamish, though.

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
