Producer Henry Priest with the Marines invited to the preview- the marine sergeant to his left has a combat action ribbon and a presidential unit citation on his right breast.
One of the greatest lessons you ever learn in the military and in a combat setting is that it is a greater grief for a family when one is in the line of fire. I can speak from experience; to be in front of the enemy, engaging the enemy , you know that that is what you signed up for and the chances of being killed are there. So you think to yourself , well, I am gonna live or die, but if I die it is over for me. I go on to the next life without a care in the world , but my family has to deal with the aftermath, the grief and the coming to terms with the loss of their son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother or dear friend.
American Identity is a film based on what happens to a family when one is deployed, when ones dies and returns in a coffin. It shows that there are other victims of war that ravage here at home. Victims in the hometowns and houses of those whose loved ones are not coming home alive or haven't/
The film premiere was also an effort to raise money for the charity organization:"Children of fallen soldiers". Many celebrities were there but it was impressive to hear them praise the soldiers who serve in the armed services. Word came today that the feature film will be in pre-production soon:success...

Cast of American Idenity
I am reminded that redemption comes to us in different ways and god brings us peace in ways we may never know. In the 1991 Gulf War a friend of mine was killed and he left a wife with a new born son. A great Marine. AS he was calling for fire as a forward observer, a stray round fired from an Iraqi Tank, at the battle for the Kuwaiti airport , one of the fiercest tank battles ever fought in history, hit my friend and killed him...
I now can sleep at night knowing that I helped contribute to the efforts to get this film produced so that it will benefit those children of our fallen heroes. It may not be able to help the son of my friend who lost his life in battle so many years ago, but it will help those children who have lost parents, now and into the future....
