Los Angeles Mission Continues to Wash feet

While many see this as a religious commandment from the savior Jesus Christ to followers of Christianity , the Los Angeles Mission takes the time to not only wash the feet of those on the streets of skid row as a show of humility and service, but to find those who are neglectful of their feet or just plain have no access to medical care. This past Friday at the Los Angeles Mission Easter Celebration and feeding, volunteers and doctors tended to the feet and the SOLES of those who needed the care.

This blog will always highlight this event because this event has saved many lives and has saved many limbs. The savior himself washed the feet of his disciples as a show of humility, but to also show that we are to serve one another...

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
