some thoughts

Well, time to get busy. I am meeting with a law firm tomorrow to present them with my proposal for their new website. It is crazy to think I have gone from living in a room that was kiling me literally , to out there trying to put a business together. The reason; we all know the reason. I gotta put people to work.....we have to also save small businesses. SO I am up..... These are the times that we have to get up and do as much as it hurts and as much as it might take us sacrificing our own selves to see to it that ourselves and our neighbors can put food on the table...

I am so grateful for the Midnight Mission and Orlando Ward and Kathy Ward and Larry Adamson who stepped up to the plate to help me in my time of need.

This is a rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol abuse, I don't use drugs or drink, and I am so grateful that I am on a modified program. When I first arrived in January I had to take a urinalysis , of course it is because the Midnight Mission doesn't allow people to be inebriated on their premises while in their program. I am grateful because when I left SRO Housing Corporation, I know that one of the excuses they throw on tenants when they fail to provide the onsite supportive services is that we are using drugs. Well, thanks to to the Midnight Mission we can set the record straight.

If all goes well tomorrow, and I am allowed to build this prestigious law firm's website , I think that I will be able to keep my promise to buy turkeys at Thanksgiving , for both the Union Rescue Mission and the Midnignt Mission.

O.k. folks, I got a haircut today , bought a new suit, had it tailored , and tomorrow I will be ready to make my presentation. Wish me luck....

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
