Donations finally decided

In this order will be the largest donations made. I don't know when, but I know who they are. IT has been a trying time praying and deciding which organizations in skid row and around skid row I will be making consistent donations to as I begin my journey into self -reliance.

2. MIDNIGHT MISSION

3. Skid Row Housing Trust

4. LAMP


Single Room Housing Corporation did not make this list for the reason that they continue to try and pull the wool over the eyes of those all over this city and the world. Skid Row housing Trust also has a no air conditioning policy , but they at least have recognized that not providing on site supportive services was not an answer to solving the homelessness problem. LAMP has been working with Skid Row Housing Trust and JWCH in providing the on site supportive housing model.

SRO made no efforts to correct their mistakes nor have they done anything to make sure that their residents are protected during the hot summer months. They use their employees who happen to live in their properties as part of the dog and pony show, they are given the best housing , and housing with air conditioning. While tenants who do not work for SRO are forced to live without certain amenities such as air conditioning. There are even drug dealers operating out of many of their hotels. One SLO named three that were living in the hotel I live in. SRO has taken credit for the work of the many residents in skid row who have done much work and community building have not publicly recognized even one resident who suffers with a heart condition who has consistently operated a program for SRO . Ingratitude is one of the worst sins there are.

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
