Divine Design kicks off Thursday December 4thin the heart of Beverly Hills with a special gala evening to be held at the Beverly Hilton featuring a runway show presented by Divine Designer Tadashi Shoji and an awards presentation.

The multi-talented fashion icon and philanthropist Jada Pinkett Smith will be honored as Woman of Style on gala night alongside David Furnish, a lifelong philanthropist and filmmaker, as Man of Style. Celebrities, designers and supporters of Project Angel Food will attend the opening night, which also includes a live fantasy auction and an exclusive night of VIP shopping. Following the awards ceremony, the gala attendees return to shopping in the marketplace at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 (former Robinson's May building and generously donated by Candy & Candy), where cash registers will ring in the holiday shopping season all in the name of love. The Divine Design marketplace will open to the public on Friday December 5th at 11 am sharp.

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
