Today We Vote - Make it count

However which way you vote just get out there and do it. This is our right in this country and our privilege. Today we make history. Let us make it a great day to be an American. While regimes change bloody and in conflict in other places in the world , this country has a peaceful transition of power.

There is no perfect voting method. We vote plurality, thus I have found that the only way to beat those who would manipulate the system is to get as many people out to vote so as to have an overwhelming number of votes to beat those who would manipulate the system. This election should prove that. The more people who vote, the more likely that the true choice would be the choice of a plurality vote.

We shall see. I hope that what we learn tomorrow morning or tonight stays with us in the future. If we would have had the same voter turnout in 2004 things would have been much different. I believe that the next four years will prove that it is the collective voters that determine the identity and the character of this nation. When we do not use our birthright given us in the constitution we maim our national identity. Our country hobbles in the world without a true mandate.

Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Gordon Turner visits skid row on election day

Gordon Turner does make it to skid row on this election day. He was at San Julian Park passing out flyers and speaking to voters. Some voters got excited and asked for handfuls of flyers to begin to pass out to voters on the Nickel.  Someone had passed out flyers last night , apparently, because there were already flyers all over skid row when he arrived.
